I was pleasantly surprised that the gym wasn't very crowded, despite it being a Monday night. There was one freak bounding on a treadmill nearby, but blissfully he finished shortly after I arrived and I didn't have to deal with any idiocy aside from my own.
I started off in the DS Trainers and immediately regretted leaving my couch. My calves were still so tight despite an afternoon spent with The Stick. But I pushed through and by mile 2 my legs were starting to loosen up. I ran 4 in the Asics in 34:04, then switched to the Vibrams for one last mile. I felt my calves start to tighten up after I switched, and at one point my left arch got tight, but it seems to work itself out. Left pinky toe was much less disagreeable than my Saturday VFF run. I was expecting to find some hot spots or blisters when I finished because I felt some rubbing in the spots where the sleeve of the shoe meets the top of the foot, but had no irritation anywhere.
When I got home I was ravenous. Unfortunately, we don't have a wide selection of cereal bowls, so I had to be resourceful:

I love Cheerios.

You are on a roll with blogs. Nice job on your runs. I found that after mile 3 mile calves would loosen up. Way to get off your couch and run...I on the other hand have sat and drank beers. Maybe my blog should be Will sit for beer...hmmm. Good job!
